David Frith-Smith

David Frith- Smith, CPA, has been a founding and managing partner in the accounting firm of Frith-Smith & Archibald, LLP since 1988.

  • As one of the company’s tax specialists, he guides clients through the complex task of tax planning, asset protection and real estate.
  • Combines an extraordinary ability in solving complex business and tax problems with a track record of resolving disputes in a cost- effective and efficient manner and developing a deep understanding of his business activities.
  • Involved in several charitable organizations as an advisor and director.
  • Serves as a director of several medium size companies.
  • Holds a Bachelors degree in accounting and is a member of the California Society of CPAs.

The firm also participates in Peer Review through the California Society of CPAs.

Mary Archibald

Mary Archibald, CPA, has been a senior partner in the accounting firm of Frith-Smith and Archibald, LLP since 1988.

  • Responsible for the accounting and financial side of the practice (audits and review financial statements for various industries).
  • Committed to updating clients to develop their financial information in an upgraded and remodeled manner. We want this information to provide the best picture for the company.

  • Specializes in the non-profit sector performing audits, Al33 compliance audits, Yellow Book audits and preparation services.
  • Performs compliance audits for retirement plans.

Maria Carmen Kazemi

Approximately 20 years of experience in public accounting focused on audit and attestation
engagements with progressive responsibility in all aspects of the engagements including planning, risk
assessment and quality control.
Maria has experience with audits of both for-profit businesses and non-for-profit organizations as well
as audits of employee benefit plans. Maria also has experience in HUD audits, internal controls
examinations and other non-traditional engagements.
The industries Maria has served include distribution, professional services (including securities
broker/dealers and insurance brokers), real state, equipment rental companies and restaurant
Maria’s experience with non-profit organizations includes charitable organizations (including private
foundations), labor unions and professional associations. Audits performed include yellow book and
single audits. Experience also includes preparation and review of federal and state tax filings and
communications with federal and state tax authorities on behalf of non-profit organizations.

Donna Allen – Queener

Donna Allen-Queener has been with Frith-Smith & Archibald, LLP since its formation in 1988.

As partner and controlling accountant of the Honolulu office, Allen-Queener specializes in tourism accounting and small business accounting in general. She and her team help companies in the tourism industry integrate many of the reservation software programs required to run their businesses. In addition, the Honolulu office provides small businesses in all industries with system set up, business management reporting, bookkeeping, tax services and non-profit auditing.

Acting as a clients’ in-house controller, Allen-Queener and her team assist with budgeting and projections, and work closely with clients to be sure they know where they are over and under spending. She is passionate about helping businesses to succeed.

Onsite bookkeeping assistance and staff training is also available. The Honolulu and California office work in tandem supporting one another on a variety of business activities as needed.

Allen-Queener holds a bachelors degree and is currently working on her Masters in Audit and her CPA.

She serves as the treasurer of her children’s school boards and is involved with Boy Scouts of America. She is an active member of the Organization of Woman’s Leadership Association and works with a networking organization through the Hawaii Tourism board.
The firm also participates in Peer Review through the California Society of CPAs.
